From 2007 to 2012, I was the founder, director and editor of El Sol de San Telmo, a community newspaper published in the historic district of Buenos Aires, Argentina. In addition to publishing the monthly tabloid-format newspaper with a distribution of 5,000 copies, I initiated and participated in numerous community initiatives, including historic photo archives and exhibitions, round table discussions, urban planning interventions, cultural festivals and more. El Sol de San Telmo was awarded a municipal recognition in 2012 and is today the publication of record for Buenos Aires’ historic district of San Telmo and Monserrat.

After leaving Buenos Aires in 2012, the newspaper was inherited by the volunteer group with whom I had worked closely for five years, and it continues to be published under their direction today, nearly 20 years after its founding.
